The History of the Borough, Castle and Barony of Alnwick, Volumes I & II, authored by George Tate. Published in 1866 by Henry Hunter Blair in Alnwick, Northumberland, this set is a notable work of local history detailing the castle, town, and barony of Alnwick.

It includes insights into the Percy family's history and the medieval heritage of the region, alongside information on its geology and natural history.

The condition of the hardcover copy described is  “Good.”

But it should be noted that there is a repair by replacing sections of pages in 1943, professionally commissioned.

There is a faint shadow of a coffee heat mark on the exterior of volume 2.

Despite these flaws, it remains a valuable collector’s item due to its historical significance and the enduring interest in Alnwick's storied past.

Its collectable for historians, enthusiasts of British topography, or investors in rare books.

As a reflection of the slight imperfections, it is priced competitively and all proceeds after shipping costs will go to the Lions Alnwick
